Battalion Sergeant Major Stephen Miller, who desires to return to the Philippines for service in the islands, has made application for transfer, as the latter organization is under orders to proceed at an early date via San Francisco to Manila.
As Sergt. Major Miller is a thorough soldier of long service it is thought his request will be approved at the War Department.
