The Daily National Intelligencer, Washington DC, 25 September 1832
Deaths-On the 17th inst. at the house of Mr. John Purdy, in
Newport Ky. Mr. Stephen R Kean, late a resident of Cincinnati, formerly of New
Jersey, and latterly of Baltimore and the city of Washington.
In his 48th year of his age. He has left a widow and numerous friends to lament his death; which was a relief from long protracted pain and suffering.
