The unusual distinction of being nominated twice for public office without opposition within one year is the proud boast of Stanley C Moebus, Campbell County attorney. Mr. Moebus, a lifelong resident of Campbell county, is considered one of the strongest candidates on the Republican ticket in the county. His is a former member of the State Legislature and has been prominent in political, social and fraternal affairs since his admittance to the bar in 1932.

Stanley Moebus, Ft Thomas, was commissioned a lieutenant junior grade in the Navy and will report to Ft Schuyler, New York April 28 for training. Moebus was elected Campbell County Attorney in 1940 to fill the unexpired term of Roger L Neff, who had been elected Judge of the Circuit Court. He was re-elected in 1941 for his present term which expires in December 1945.

He announced that he would name Albert Keeler, Ft Thomas, to fill the office during his absence. Moebus attended the Bellevue schools, the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Law College. He is married to Virginia Lee Martin of Newport and they have two children, Martha Ann and Roger. He served two terms as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives.

Stanley C Moebus, Campbell county attorney, who is on leave of absence for the duration, is back home following his graduation last week from the Naval Officers' Indoctrination course at Ft Schuyler NY, where he received his rating of lieutenant.

He is spending a short leave with his wife and their two children at their home 58 Rossford avenue, Ft Thomas, prior to leaving for Columbus O. where he will attend the Ohio State Naval Training School to enroll for a two month course which specializes in the recognition of allied and enemy air craft and surface vessels.

From his assignment at the US Naval base at Great Lakes, Lt. Stanley C Moebus, Campbell county attorney, because of military regulations must depend upon his friends here to sponsor his candidacy for re-election.

On the eve of his campaign for re-election as Campbell county attorney, Stanley C Moebus was notified Monday by the Navy Department of his promotion from the rank of lieutenant junior grade to senior grade. Lt. Moebus does not expect to receive his discharge until after Jan 1.
