Dayton Ky-Dr. C B Schoolfield, aged 59, died at 2 am yesterday in
Charleston W Va. of sciatica. He was one of the most prominent physicians in
Campbell County. He was the first President of the Northern Kentucky Medical
Society, President of the Campbell and Kenton County Medial Association and
President of the staff of Speers Hospital, of which he has been a trustee since
its opening.
He retired from active work a few years ago and last summer went to Charleston to make his home with his son, Dr. Clarence Schoolfield. His other children are Dr. J R Schoolfield and Mrs. Dr. William Young of this city. Dr. Schoolfield was charitable to a fault and invariably refused fees from the poor. The remains arrived over the C and O last evening and were removed to the home of Dr. Young on Sixth avenue.
The funeral of Dr. C B Schoolfield will take place at 2 pm tomorrow from the First Baptist Church, Rev W Wray officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The deceased was a charter member of Henry Barnes Lodge, F and A M and the lodge will hold a special meeting tonight to take action on his death. The ritual of the lodge will be read at the close of the regular funeral services.

The funeral of Dr. C R Schoolfield took place from the First Baptist Church Saturday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev Preston Blake, of Lexington; Rev W A Wray, Rev Skillman and Rev J N Ervin. Touching eulogies were pronounced by Revs Blake and Skillman and solos were sung by Mrs. Carrie Collard. Henry Barnes Lodge, F&AM followed with the impressive ritual of the order. The remains were interred in Evergreen Cemetery.
