Samuel Robert Randall was born in July of 1791 in Rhode Island and died February 17, 1866 in Grants Lick and was buried in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. He married Marcy A Thornton, born 30 Jan 1799 in Providence, Rhode Island, September 6, 1818 in Johnston, Providence County, Rhode Island, the daughter of Robert and Abigail Joy Thornton. (note on paper says parents not documented)

Andrew Randall married Elizabeth Todd, daughter
of Robert and Maria (McKinney) Todd, in 1844 in KY. He was the founder of the
California Academy of Sciences. Andrew died 26 July 1856 in San Francisco.
