Services for Samuel Poe, 60, Spanish American War veteran, will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday at the Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Poe died Monday at his home, 1212 John street, Newport.
He leaves his widow, Minnie Poe; six sons, George, William, Robert, Ollie, Cliff, and Herbert; three daughters, Mrs. Essie Dryer, Mrs. Goldie Ament and Mrs. Florence Reinhardt. Erwin Marcelas, acting Campell county coroner, said death was due to a heart attack.
