Sam Ratliff
Kentucky Post, Friday, 3 April 1903, page 5
Sam Ratliff, saloon keeper at Ft Thomas, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by Deputy Sheriff Charles Davis, on a restraint warrant, sworn to by the firm of Hugo Guggenheimer, whiskey dealers, in a suit filed in the County Court in Newport.
He alleges in his petition Ratliff owes them $1124.41 for goods delivered, and that he is about to move without paying his claim. Ratliff was brought to the Newport Jail and refused to give bond. The proceedings are unusual.
