FUNERAL
The funeral of Mrs. Danks, who was burned to death while using
coal oil to start a fire, took place yesterday afternoon, services being held at
Evergreen Cemetery Chapel. A large concourse of friends and relatives were in
attendance and the floral offerings were numerous and very beautiful. The lodges
of Odd fellows and Masons were well represented, the deceased husband of Mrs.
Danks having belonged to those lodges.
Miss Ruth Danks, who was also badly burned in the accident that cost her mother's life, is still confined to her room and was unable to attend the funeral. It ws just as well for mother's remains were so badly disfigured by the flames that the corpse could not be viewed.
