PONCHOT Ruth J. 79, of Fort Thomas, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke
Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Alfred Ponchot, died in 1991. A son, Jim Ponchot, died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Caudill of Fort Thomas; a son, Joe Ponchot of Edgewood; brothers, Joe Linkugel of Bellevue, Norman Linkugel of South-gate and Dan Linkugel of Fort Thomas; sisters, Betty Holcomb of Newport, Ida Daniel of Whittier, Calif., and Mary Lattner of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
