Cincinnati Enquirer, Tuesday, 23 August 1898, page 7
A telegram was received at the Ft. Thomas Post yesterday from
Lieutenant Waterbury, of Engine Company No 17 of Cleveland Ohio, inquiring as to
the whereabouts of his son, Roy Waterbury, who had enlisted with the Fifth
Infantry.
The telegram was turned over to Father Vattman and in a short time he found the young man in the hospital. He is in a fair way to recover.
