NEWPORT
Saloonist G Rosenbaum of Tenth and Monmouth streets, reported to
the police yesterday that burglars had entered his place of business during the
night and ransacked the house in search of valuables. Mrs. Rosenbaum left early
in the evening to visit relatives in Cincinnati and her husband closed the
saloon early.
Thirteen dollars in money had been taken from a bureau drawer and all the change was abstracted from the saloon till. Jewelry was laid aside, but the burglars helped themselves to several hot drinks before they left.
