Robert McDowell, 305 Fifth avenue, Dayton, World War veteran, died today at Speers Hospital following an illness of two years. He was 37. Complications caused his death. Mr. McDowell was widely known in Dayton. He was a past worthy president of the Colonel Aerie of Eagles, Dayton, and was a candidate for trustee at the coming election of the lodge. He had been a member of the Edward W Boers Post, American Legion, Dayton.

Mr. McDowell enlisted during the war and had been attached to Battery F 75th Artillery. He had taken part in the St Naziere and other drives. Unitl he becme ill he was an employee of the Lodge Q Shipley Co. Cincinnati.

He leaves his sister, Mrs. Grace Bary, Dayton; a nephew, Robert Bary and a niece, Henrietta Bary. He was a brother in law of Louis Bary, police reporter for the Cincinnati Post. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home, Newport, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
