Robert Matthews, an infantry man veteran of the World War II and son of the late "Smutter" Matthews, former major league scout and coach and deputy sheriff, is the new member of the Campbell county patrol.
Patrolman Matthews was named by County Judge Odis W Bartelsman. He fills the vacancy caused by the resignation of James Brasher.
