ARREST OF ALLEGED SECESSIONISTS-On Thursday night, between eleven and twelve o'clock, US Deputy Marshal Allnut, of Covington, quietly came over to our city and arrested ex-sheriff H D Helm and Robert Maddox, and crossed with them to the opposite side of the river and lodged them at the Broadway Hotel.

We learn there were warrants out for Albert S Berry and Colonel Thomas L Jones, but the former was found, the latter we saw on our streets yesterday afternoon.  The arrest, we understand was at the instigation of General D M Mitchell, whose jurisdiction extends 15 miles in the interior of Kentucky. Deputy Allnut was aided in making the arrest by Captain Henselman's and Captain Herman's Companies of Home Guards.

THROWN OUT-Our sometimes fellow citizen, Robert Maddox, met with an accident day before yesterday, which threatened to terminate more seriously.  He was driving a favorite horse before a buggy, when the animal became restive, upset the vehicle and threw Robert out, spraining his wrist in such a manner as to render his arm restless.
