NEWPORT
Robert A Davis, oldest son of ex-Coroner Dr. F A Davis, deceased,
died at the hospital yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases. He was
one of the best known newspaper men in this vicinity.
The deceased was 38 years of age and leaves a widow and one child.

Robert A Davis, 38, prominent in Campbell County, died Friday evening at Speers Hospital. He soon followed his friend, the late Judge Newman. Davis was a warm admirer of the Judge and was appointed his private secretary, but had never served on account of Judge Newman passing away the day he was to take the office of Circuit Judge. He was a newspaper man in Newport and was well known. His father was Dr. F A Davis, deceased, formerly Coroner of Campbell County.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2 pm from his late home, 869 York st. Rev Robert Nelson will conduct the services.
