The sudden death of Robert Burns, the well known drummer of the band, Wednesday, Ft Thomas, caused much regret among his comrades, by whom he was held in high esteem for his geniality and social qualities. "Bobbie" as he was familiarly called by all, did not have an enemy and his sudden taking off was a shock, not only to his soldier comrades, but also to many civilians in this vicinity who were also his warm friends.
Interment will be in Evergreen with full military honors.
