The body of Sgt. Robert Boyce, 20, formerly of Ft Thomas, will arrive in northern Kentucky Thursday for services and burial, family members said. Sgt. Boyce attached to the Air Corps, died Wednesday at Oliver General Hosptital, Augusta Ga. following an illness of several months. He had been a patient at the hospital for five weeks, the last four of which his mother, Estella Volz, 35 Wilbers lane, Ft Thomas, had been in attendance.
The young soldier had entered service almost two years ago. His father, Asher Boyce, a veteran of World War I, is a patient at the Dayton O. Veterans Hospital. Sgt. Boyce's grandfather, the late Charles Rieder, was a widely known Newport jeweler. Besides his parents, he leaves his stepfather, Queatin Volz, Ft Thomas, and several aunts and uncles. The Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport, is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Sgt. Robert Boyce, formerly of Ft Thomas, will be held at the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport, at 11 am Saturday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He was 20. He died Wednesday at Oliver General Hospital, Augusta Ga. Boyce had served in the Army two years. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm.
