ENSIGN Robert Eugene Baron, son of Mr. and Mrs. George F Baron,
of 32 Bivouac place, Ft Thomas, was killed Sunday in a plane crash near North
Bend, Ore. the Navy Department informed the family. A fighter pilot, Ensign
Baron, a graduate of Highlands High School, entered the service in April 1943.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Pfc. George S Baron, serving with the Signal Corps in New Guinea and his grandmother, Mrs. Louisa Sheldon at home. His body will be brought to Ft Thomas for funeral services.

A Memorial Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 am Wednesday at St Thomas Church, Ft Thomas, following prayers at 8:30 am at the A C Dobbling Sons funeral home, Ft Thomas for Ensign Robert Eugene Baron, 21, of 32 Bivouac place, Ft Thomas, who was killed Sunday in a plane crash near North Bend Ore. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.
A fighter pilot, Ensign Baron, a graduate of Highlands High School, Ft Thomas, entered the service in April 1943. His body will arrive in Covington late Monday. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Baron; a brother Pfc. George Baron, serving with the Signal Corps in New Guinea and his grandmother Mrs. Louisa C Sheldon.
