FUNERAL
The funeral of Robert Anstead Sr. took place yesterday afternoon
with services at the new chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, conducted by the various
lodges to which the deceased belonged.
The A O U W Masonic, Order of Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias were in attendance and accompanied the funeral cortege to the head of Monmouth street, where cars were taken to Evergreen Cemetery.
The pallbearers were George Hindman and Sam Schell from Eureka, Will Hayes, from Noah's Dove Lodge, IOOF; Dan Coppin and James Woodsides from the Newport Lodge, AO UW, Henry Behrman, Dan Brumback from Robert Burns Lodge, F and A M. Funeral Director Smith had immediate charge of the impressive obsequies.
