Richard Lynch, a well known resident of Newport, died Sunday at his residence, 818 York st. after a lingering illness. Lynch, who was 45 years of age and a bachelor, made his home with his mother and two sisters.

The decedent was for many years prominently identified with politics and served several years as Deputy County Clerk under Clerk Costigan, but for the past several years had been employed by the Wiedemann Brewing Co. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with services in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The body will be interred in St Joseph Cemetery, Price Hill.

The funeral of former Deputy City Clerk Richard J Lynch took place this morning with services at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The remains will be placed in the vault at the new Price Hill Cemetery.
