Services for Richard B Davis, 71 year old lifelong resident of Newport, will be held at the A C Dobbling and Son Funeral home, Ft Thomas, at 2 pm Thursday. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati. Mr. Davis died Monday at Booth Hospital following a long illness. For many years he had been widely known as an active Democratic party worker in Newport.

He formerly held a post in the Newport Welfare Department, but immediately prior to his retirement six years ago he had served as custodian of the safe deposit vault of the Main Street Branch of the Central Trust Co. Cincinnati.

Born in the family home at 122 East Fifth street, Newport, Mr. Davis lived his entire life there. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Thompson, also of that address, and a brother, Wallace G Davis, Detroit. Mr. Davis was a charter member of Capt. A M Wetherill Camp, Spanish War Veterans, Newport.
