Memorial services for Sgt. Rex T Ford, son of Mrs. John T Rieman,
621 Third avenue, Dayton, will be held at the St Paul Evangelical Church at
10:30 am Sunday. Rev A J Wahl, pastor will officiate and a solo will be sung by
Mrs. Ella Dailey.
Sgt. Ford was killed Oct 6, 1944, while serving with the Ninth Army in Germany. He had fought in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was awarded a Presidential Merit Certificate and a Purple Heart posthumously. He also held a Good Conduct Medal and two Bronze Battle Stars.
Besides his mother, he leaves two sisters,
Alice and Anna Louise; two brothers John and Charles, and his stepfather, John T
Rieman all of Dayton.
