LT. RAYMOND G WIETHORN, 24, husband of Mrs. Dorothy Wiethorn, of 10 Leslie avenue, Ft Mitchell and son of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Wiethorn, of 448 Taylor avenue, Bellevue, has been missing in action following a mission over Belgium since 23, it was learned here. A pilot on a paratroop transport, Lt. Wiethorn entered the service in October 1942 and was sent overseas five months ago. He is a graduate of St Xavier High School, Cincinnati.
His father was a former mayor of Bellevue and a brother Elmer, is a deputy in the office of Lambert Helm, Campbell county tax commissioner.

Lt. Raymond G Wiethorn, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Wiethorn of 448 Taylor avenue, Bellevue and husband of Mrs. Dorothy B Wiethorn, of 10 Leslie avenue, Ft Mitchell, was reported as a prisoner of the Germans it was reported here. Lt. Wiethorn, his wife learned from the War Department, was seen to bail out with other members of his crew on a C-47 transport over Bastogne, Belgium. A radio report was intercepted by a Dayton O. operator who advised Mrs. Wiethorn. The War department advised Mrs. Wiethorn such radio reports are being accepted as official confirmation.
A pilot of a C-47, Wiethorn was previously reported as missing in action over Belgium since Dec 23. He and four members of his crew parachuted to safety in December when their plane was shot down. He entered the Army in October 1942 and was sent overseas in July 1944. Lt. Wiethorn's father is deputy Campbell county tax commissioner.

Lt. Raymond G Wiethorn, 25, son of the late Clem Wiethorn, former mayor of Bellevue, and Mrs. Wiethorn, 448 Taylor avenue, Bellevue, a prisoner of the Germans since Dec 23, 1944, when his C-47 transport plane was shot down over Belgium, has been liberated. Lt. Wiethorn, husband of Mrs. Dorothy Bramlage Wiethorn, of 10 Leslie avenue, Ft Mitchell, was freed from a prison camp on May 13.
He is now in France, his wife was advised. Lt. Wiethorn is the brother of Elmer Wiethorn, chief deputy under Campbell County Commissioner Lambert Hehl.
