ACCIDENTAL SHOT TO FLORIST

Coroner August Helmbold returned a verdict of
accidental shooting in the death of Raymond Schabell, 39-year-old Campbell
county florist, who was found in the bedroom of his home on Alexandria pike,
Cold Spring, suffering from a shotgun wound in the abdomen today. He died 15
minutes later. His brother, County Patrolman Albert Schabell, said he was
cleaning a 12-gauge single-barreled shotgun when the weapon discharged
accidentally.
Mr. Schabell was found by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Joseph Schabell, who lives at
the Schabell home. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A W Schabell, who operate a
florist business at Cold Spring.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
