Randall H
Steffen, age 36, of 700 Wisconsin Drive, Xenia, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday,
September 23, 1997 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was born, April 14, 1961, in Alexandria, Kentucky, the son of Herbert and
Patricia (Hertel) Steffen. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force for eight years
before transferring to WPAFB, as a M.Sgt. USAF Reserves, 445th Airlift Wing,
906th Tactical Fighter Squadron. He was a member of St. Brigid Church,
Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department, Air Force Sgts. Association and St. Brigid
Sport Coach.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Maureen (Charlson) Steffen, whom he married
June 26, 1982; one son, Thomas Perry Steffen; two daughters Lindsay Maureen
Steffen and Sarah Catherine Steffen, all at home; his parents Herbert and
Patricia Steffen of Alexandria, Kentucky; maternal grandmother, Catherine Hertel
of Brookville; paternal grandmother, Margaret Steffan of Alexandria, Kentucky;
three sisters, Vanessa Stadelmann, Vicky Harrison and Pamela Rering, all of
Kentucky; two aunts from Brookville, Bernice Kirschner and Judy Strohmier; one
uncle Tom Hertel of Brookville; and another uncle, Charles Hertel of Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, September 29, in Xenia, Ohio. Burial
followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Alexandria, Kentucky. Contributions, in his
memory, may be made to the Citizen's Federal Bank, Children's Fund, 100 West
Main Street, Xenia, Ohio, 45385.
