Requiem High Mass for Corporal Ralph J Henzerling, 122 W 13th
street, Newport, will be sung at Immaculate Conception Church, Newport, at 9 am
Saturday. James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, will hold services at St
Stephen Cemetery.
Cpl. Henzerling was killed in action in Italy March 5, 1945. A graduate of St Xavier High School, Cincinnati, he was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He enlisted Nov 8, 1942.
He leaves his father, Joseph, and two sisters, Mrs. Loraine Shea and Mrs. Dolores Hicks, both of Newport. Rankin-Prout Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will hold services at the Muehlenkamp Funeral home, Newport at 8 pm Friday.
