FUNERAL OF THE LATE CAPT. PRES GUTHRIE-Grand Military and Civic Testimonial to the Deceased.

The remains of the lamented soldier and citizen were conveyed to their final resting place, in the old family burying ground on Catharine street, (Cincinnati) yesterday afternoon. The military display was of an imposing character, embracing the Guthrie Grays, the Rover Guards and a full company of US troops from the Newport Barracks.

The two latter appeared in the procession without arms: the former, his own well loved corps-acted as body guard, and following all that remained upon earth of their gallant founder, performed the last soldierly salute over his grave. Both the Guthrie and Rover Guards turned out in full force, attended by military bands, whose grand but melancholy strains kept sad measure to the tread of his bereaved comrades.

The Masonic body, of which Captain Guthrie was a member, turned out largely, as did a numerous cortege of friends, who living, loved him for his social and amiable qualities. A vast crowd lined the sidewalks through which the procession passed and as a grateful token of respect, the steamboats kept their flags during the day at half mast.
