NEWPORT
A WOLF-Samuel Wolf, a fifteen year old boy, was arrested
yesterday by Special Policeman Phil Parry on the charge of beating his invalid
mother, who resides on Eglantine street, between York and Columbia streets.
Mrs. Wolf has been deserted by her husband and is now in destitute circumstances. A few months on the rock pile would do this young man good. A man may have some excuse for striking his wife for policy sake, but there is no excuse for striking your mother.
