DEATH CUTS IN
Peter Neises, 1023 Liberty Street, Newport, father of Newport Patrolman Lawrence Neises, died suddenly yesterday at the Wadsworth Watch Company Plant, Dayton, where he was employed as a finisher. Mr. Neises, who was 71 years old, retired 10 years ago after working at the Wadsworth Company for 44 years. He was called back to work a year ago when the company received national defense orders. He had been a resident of Campbell County all his life. He was a member of the St George Benevolent Society, Newport.
Dr. Martin J Sauter, Campbell County Coroner, returned a verdict of death due to a heart attack. Mr. Neises is survived by his widow, Heen; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Sullivan and Mrs. Herbert Brockmeier, both of Covington; Mrs. Bertha Chalk, Newport; and Mrs. Robert Dods, Cincinnati; three sons, Lawrence, Harry and Walter Neises, all of Newport. Four sisters, Mrs. Anna Bilte and Mrs. George Enzweiler, both of Newport; Mrs. Mary Wagner, Oneonta Ky, and Miss Helen Neises, Cincinnati, and a brother, Michael Neises, Oneonta and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at the Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll funeral home, Newport, Thursday morning, followed by requiem high mass at Corpus Christi Church, Newport. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
