NEWPORT NEWS
AN OLD CITIZEN GONE-We learn that Peter Linet, Esq. departed this
life yesterday afternoon. He was suddenly attacked on Tuesday last with a brain
fever, which terminated fatally, as we have stated.
Mr. Linet was and old and worthy citizen of Newport and died in the possession of a large circle of friends. His funeral will take place at half past two o'clock this afternoon and will be attended by the firemen and a number of citizens.
