Patrolman Paul J Raver has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for police chief in Bellevue. He has been a patrolman in the city for eight years.

"Beeing a lifelong resident of Bellevue, I had the opportunity to watch our boys and girls grow up to be useful citizens, and I believe this has aided the city. It also has been my practice to enforce traffic laws and accidents have been few."

Patrolman Raver, a World War veteran, who served in France, is a member of the American Legion and Blue Grass Aerie of Eagles. He is married and lives at 244 Lafayette avenue.
