Paul Andrew Gubser, 55, of 1010 Seventh avenue, Dayton, died Thursday at his home after a long illness. He was a veteran of World War I and had been a resident of Dayton 52 years. He was a painter.

Mr. Gubser leaves his widow, Mrs. Lillian Stite Gubser; five daughters, Mrs. Virginia Lunsford, Newport; Mrs. Madalyn Taylor, Fayetteville, N.C.; Mrs. Melba Hayes, Dayton, and the Misses Inez and Patricia Gubser, at home; three brothers, Howard, William and George Gubser, all of Dayton, and three sisters, Miss Margaret Gubser, Dayton; Mrs. Josephine Mayfield, Dayton, and Mrs. Louise Heck, Newport.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dobbling Funeral home, Bellevue. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
