NEWPORT
The venerable bereaved and esteemed P A C Kemper, Esq. died at
his home on York street, yesterday at twelve o'clock. The deceased was born in
Cincinnati in the year 1807 and has been a resident of this city for the past
forty-one years.
During his residence in this city he filled the office of Magistrate for a number of years and was the proprietor of the first feed store ever in Newport.
The immediate cause of his death was paralysis of the brain and general debility, but he was sensible to the last moment. He leaves a widow and five children to mourn his loss. The deceased has three sisters who survive him; one residing in New York, one in Piqua Ohio, and the other in Walnut Hills.
The deceased was a member of high standing in the Odd fellows, who will attend his funeral. He was a kind father and indulgent husband and by his death Newport loses a good citizen.
