MAN KICKED TO DEATH BY A HORSE-On Saturday night, a man named
Owen Mitchell, who has been employed for some time past, by Dr. Smith, as a
hostler, came to his death in the following manner.
While partially intoxicated, he went into the stable of Dr. S. for the purposed of feeding his horse. in endeavoring to climb up into the loft, he fell near the horse's hind foot. The animal immediately commenced kicking, and before the unfortunate man could get out of the way, he was so severely injured that he died in a short time afterward.
An inquest was held on the body by Esquire Ladd. A verdict in accordance with the foregoing facts was returned.
