Captain Owen F Jolly, 68, 431 McKinney st. died early today at
his home after several weeks illness. His death was due to troubles incident to
old age and stomach disease. He had been a resident of Dayton 34 years and ran
river boats for years from Pittsburg to New Orleans as mate and Captain. The
last boat he was connected with was the U. S. steamer Golden Rod.
He leaves a son, Eugene Jolly, present fire warden of Dayton; a wife and a daughter, Mrs. H S Kendrick of Dayton. No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.

The funeral of Capt. Owen F Jolly will take place from the home, 431 Fifth av. Dayton at 1:30 pm. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. During his life he commanded some of the largest boats on the Ohio, including the Bostona and Telegraph of the L&C Packet co.

The will of Owen F Jolly was probated today in the Campbell co. Court. All of his estate is bequeathed to his widow, Emma May Jolly.
