Kersten-O'Day Post No 2899 Bellevue-Dayton Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States elected Otto Heeg, Dayton, discharged World War II veteran, as commander at the recent regular meeting. Mr. Heeg served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee.

Installation ceremonies have been set for April 8 with Walter Schell, past commander, as installing officer. Harrison R Herms will be installation chairman.

HEEG-Otto J, beloved husband of Gerry Heeg (nee Herms) dear father of Ronald, Gregory and Daniel, died Thursday, January 13 at residence, 408 Third av. Dayton. Prayers at Muehlenkamp Funeral Home, 215 Sixth av. Dayton, Monday at 8:30 am. Requiem High Mass St Bernard Church at 9 am. Visitation 3 to 9 pm Sunday. Kersten-O-Day Post, VFW, services Sunday at 7:30 pm.
