DROWNED IN THE LICKING
On Sunday afternoon last, a youngster about ten years of age, the
son of Joseph Ostermeyer, who keeps a saloon on the corner of Bellview and
Isabella streets, was drowned. It appears that in company with some other
boys, he was standing on a log near the shore, which turned and threw him in the
water, when he sank to rise no more in life.
His body was recovered, upon which an inquest was held, the jury rendering a verdict in accordance with the above facts.
