Dr. O A Frickman, 87, physician in Newport for 59 years, died Monday at Speers Hospital. Dr. Frickman had his home and office at 724 York street, Newport. Inactive during the past several years, Dr. Frickman still treated some of his old patients.
A natie of Piqua, O. he graduated from the Ohio Medical College in 1896, the same year he was married. He served as president of the Newport Board of Education and was a member of the Campbell-Kenton Medical Society. He was on staff at Speers Hospital for many years and was a past member of the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Fickman leaves his widow, Mrs. Emma Frickman; two sons Dr. O W Frickman, Newport physician, who lives in Ft Thomaa and Walter E Frickman, Cincinnati attorney, who lives in Newport; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at the Erschell funeral home, Newport, where friends may call from 4 until 9 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
