OLD RIVER MAN DEAD


William Walker, residing at 606 York street, received a telegram last night announcing the death of his stepfather, O P Gaugh, at Louisville Ky.  The latter was a well known river man, having been engineer on the ferry boats plying between Newport and Cincinnati before the bridges were built.

He was a life long resident of Newport and was 60 years of age.  Mr. Gaugh leaves a widow and three daughters.  His brother is Mr. Ed Gaugh of 221 East Third street.

RIVER MAN

William Walker, of 606 York Street, Newport, received a telegram Tuesday night from Louisville, announcing the death of his stepfather, O P Gaugh, at Louisville. He was a well known river man, having been the engineer on the old ferries between Cincinnati and Newport before the Central Bridge was built.

He was in his sixtieth year and was a life long resident of Newport. A widow and three children survive him.
