The Monogue-Silva wedding took place Wednesday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newport. The contracting parties were Edwin Monogue (sic) with Don's Agency, stationed at Anderson Ind. and Miss Octavia Kathryn Silva, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Silva of Columbia st. Newport.
Miss Loretta Silva, a sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and Chester Silva best man. The ushers were Albert Wesselman and John Kearney. The ceremony was performed by Rev James McNerney during a nuptial mass. Mrs. William Bradley presided at the organ. The bride wore an exquisite gown of white French batiste trimmed with Duchess lace and carried a shower of bride roses.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents. Upon their return from a bridal trip to New York they will reside in Anderson, Indiana.
