Funeral arrangements are being completed for Norman McAtee, who died Tuesday at his home, 551 Highland avenue, Ft Thomas, five months after he had been given a medical discharge from the Army. When stationed at Roswell NM, with the Finance Department, he became ill and was removed to an Army hospital at El Paso Tex. where he remained until last June 14, when he was given his discharge.

Returning to his home in Ft Thomas, he was confined there until his death. Before his induction Mr. McAtee was employed as chief clerk at the Newport Rolling Mills for 13 years. He showed a great interest in community welfare and in recognition of this County Judge Odis Bertelsman appointed him an honorary member of the county patrol system.

At the time of his discharge from the Army he held the rank of staff sergeant and had held that position after his basic training at Camp Robinson Ark. He was inducted in April 1942. Mr. McAtee was a graduate of St Stephen High School, Newport. He was a cousin of the movie actress, Irene Dunn, his mother being her first cousin. His engagement to Miss Eulalla Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hartman, Sixth avenue, Dayton, was recently announced.

Mr. McAtee leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard McAtee and an aunt Miss Emma Nortman. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 am at St Therese Church, Ft Thomas, following prayers at 8:30 am at the residence. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.
