VETERAN SCHOOL CUSTODIAN DEAD
Services for Nicholas Matz, custodian at the East Clifton School, S. Newport, for more than 20 years will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Erschell funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Matz, 74, died Sunday at Speers Hospital. A native of Germany, Mr. Matz came to this country when a child and lived in South Newport for 35 years. He was a member of William Tell Lodge of Odd Fellows.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Lena Matz; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Noll and Mrs. Anna Strong, Newport, and Miss Edna Matz, Mt. Vernon, O.; one son, Albert Matz, Chillicothe, O.; and one grandchild.
