NEWPORT
The marriage of Miss Nannie A Davis, one of Newport's fairest and
most accomplished school teachers and daughtr of Mr. and Mrs. John T Davis, to
Mr. Jacob Peoples, a rising young merchant of Butler Ky. took place Wednesday
evening at the Taylor M E Church. Rev George Taubman, ex pastor of the Fifth
Street Christian Church came all the way from his new home at Mays Lick Ky. to
perform the ceremony.
The attendants were Miss Lulu Davis, a sister of the bride and Prof. B J Frye of Butler Ky. while Messrs. H H Race and Raymond Kline officiated as ushers. After the services an elegant wedding supper was served at the bride's residence on West First Street.
