Musician John Campbell

The post commander is in receipt of a letter from John A Kirk, of
Rochester NY, asking for information concerning John Campbell, well known in the
three cities. Campbell, who served in the band of the Sixth Infantry at Ft
Thomas for several years and afterward conducted a barber shop on the Midway and
in Newport, is wanted at home, where his aged father is seriously ill, and
desires to see him once more.
More than a year ago Campbell left here and when last heard from was at Ft Leavenworth Kansas, where the Sixth, his old regiment is now stationed.
