DEATH
Major Moses R Howard, 65, one of the best known life insurance agents in the Ohio Valley, died this morning at 8 am at his home, 409 Washington av. Newport. His death though sudden, was not unexpected. He was on the street Wednesday, but was compelled to take to his bed Thursday. He had been an invalid for over a year due to complication of diseases. The immediate cause of his death is given as heart failure.
Deceased was connected with one of the big insurance companies, with headquarters at Cincinnati, and he wrote many of the largest policies ever written in the local field.
Besides a widow, four children survive him. Major Howard served in the Rebellion and was a member of a number of secret organizations.
