SUICIDE-On Saturday morning last, a woman named Mill Gray, who
resided near the corner of Madison and Columbia streets, Newport Ky. committed
suicide by taking laudanum. She purchased the laudanum under the pretense that
she wished to use it in making a preparation for weak eyes.
On returning home from the Drug Store, she retired to her room and swallowed all she had purchased. On being discovered a physician was called in, but he could do nothing for her. She died Sunday morning.
