Mr. and Mrs. L C Glassmeyer, 2940 Harrison avenue, Cincinnati,
former residents of Bellevue and the Rosedale Latonia section, received the
Purple Heart decoration from President Roosevelt Thursday. The decoration was a
citation of bravery for their son, Pfc. Miles L Glassmeyer, who was killed in
action in North Africa with the American forces.
A sister of the dead solider, Miss Margaret Glassmeyer, is in the WAACS, stationed at Camp Dennison, Texas.
The Glassmeyers moved to Cincinnati recently after having been residents of Bellevue, Latonia and Rosedale for more than 25 years.
