Michael McNamara, 80, a pioneer resident of Newport, died Saturday at 10 am at his home on Keturah Street. The was the father of James McNamara, a fireman at the One's Fire House and leaves a wife and six children, five sons and one daughter.

The funeral of the late Michael McNamara took place Tuesday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Newport. Requiem mass was celebrated by the pastor, Rev Father McNerney and burial was in St Joseph Cemetery, Price Hill. The pallbearers were his six sons, Daniel, James, John, Joseph, Michael Jr. and William.

The funeral of Michael McNamara took place yesterday morning from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, with requiem mass, Rev Father McNerney officiating

His six sons, John, Patrick, Michael, Joseph, Daniel and James, acted as pall bearers. Interment was at St Stephen Cemetery.
