Last rites for Melvin King, 37, who died Mondy at the Marion, Ind State Hospital will be held Thursday at 8:30 am at the home, 64th st. Clifton Ky. with requiem high mass at 9 am at St Vincent de Paul Church, Clifton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
King, a World War veteran, was a member of the famous Rainbow division AEF 165th Infantry. He was gassed in France and failed to recover. He leaves his widow, Amy Green King, one son, Melvin Jr. and his father, James King of Cincinnati. He was a member of the James Wallace Costigan Post, Americn Legion of Newport.

Members of the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, Newport, and members of the auxiliary will meet Wednesday at 7:30 pm at 64 16th st. Clifton where they will hold services for Melvin King, war veteran who died Monday at Marion Ind. Members of the firing squad of the legion post will hold services at the grave in Evergreen Cemetery.
