Services for Melvin Banks, 75, father of Alton C Banks, prominent Greater Cincinnati attorney, will be held at the Henry Linnemann Sons funeral home, Covington at 2 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A Spanish War Veteran, Mr. Banks died Friday at the Veterans Administratin Hospital, Ft Thomas. He was a retired tinner and roffing contractor. He lived at 1506 Garrard street, Covington.

Mr. Banks was a member of Grafton-Reed Post No 9, United Spanish Veterans and the Covington Aerie Eagles. The two organizations will meet at the funeral home for services at 7:30 and 8 pm Monday, respectively.

Besides Alton, he leaves another son, Chester M Banks, Bellevue; two brothers, Thomas, Dayton and George, Denver Colo. a siters, Mrs. Nina Osborne, Fullerton Cal. and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Tuesday.
